Miles cruised 0, fuel purchased 198 gallons, fuel purchased $398, slip fee $45, daily high temperature 82°f. We had fuel delivered to the boat in anticipation of our trip to the Bahamas. The marina gets a 10 cent mark up per gallon. The time has slipped away between blog postings. Dale and Andy returned to the boat during severe wind conditions that capsized two large yachts nearby. The ultimate horror is that storm knocked out the wifi on our side of the marina. John and Priscilla visited their new grandson Jackson in Boston. They arrived in 54°f weather following a cold snap of -9°f. Good fortune. While in Boston we visited one of the blogs contributors Dave (Mac) McKenna and his wife Laura in Concord, Ma. Laura is Priscilla's sister.John and Priscilla returned to Florida on Tuesday. It was planes, trains, automobiles and buses. We took the bus from Framingham to Logan airport, flew on American Airlines to Miami, took the Tri-Rail train to Ft. Lauderdale airport and finally a Lyft ride to the marina.Andy's sister Joy and her husband Jim from Fridley, Minnesota visited us on CL. They went for a long dingy ride on the New River with Dale and Andy to see all the beautiful homes and mega yachts. They will spend the night onboard.John and Priscilla are getting off the boat to visit Dan and Iris in Stuart, Florida for a few days. Our friends Fritz and Holly went to Stuart last week to look for a rental and bought a condo. The condo is in the Tarpon Bay Yacht Club in Port St. Lucie and has racks for kayaks and dinghies and dockage for 51 boats up to 50 feet in length. It is a very active 55+ boating community with 120 units. We are closely watching the weather window for our crossing to the Bahamas. We cannot cross with north winds because that creates large waves in the Gulf Stream. Monday might be the earliest but it us not looking real good.Bonus photoCarl ( Chef ) Wooden - quote for the day."Some beautiful paths can't be discovered without getting lost." - Erol OzanErrol Ozan - Writer, scientist, thinker, futurist, and salsa dancer living in Raleigh, North Carolina (USA).
