America's Great Loop

The America’s Great Loop – just imagine being a Looper. Boating over 5,600 miles through 25 States, along beautiful beaches, inland rivers, historic canals, across the Great Lakes. You can start by going through downtown Chicago and into the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers, turning left into the Ohio River then to the Tennessee River, to the Tenn-Tom Canal down to Mobile, across to Florida, spend some in the Bahamas and then up the intercostal waterway ICW to the Hudson River past Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty to the Erie Canal.  Next cross Lake Ontario to the Trent Severn waterway in Canada to Georgean Bay  and the north channel of Lake Huron.  Go past Mackinac Island and down Lake Michigan until you cross your wake from a year ago and you have completed the Great American Loop.

No matter where you start from, in the end you will cross your wake at the same place you started without ever having to make a u-turn or face the perils of the open sea.

The America’s Great Loop is a “must see” and “must experience” journey for every American boater.
