Guest information list onboard Changing Latitudes

Guest Information

We look forward to having you, as our guest, on Sea Fever…and we promise that you will leave with great stories and memories – fresh air, healthy meals, time to relax, read, ride bikes, explore, make new friends, laugh and live life just a little differently for a few days! Come with a sense of adventure and be ready for ever-changing plans (that is definitely part of the boating life).

Jim and I are living aboard all summer, but contrary to popular opinion, we are not fully retired nor on perpetual vacation J. So, we will be busy at times with professional/personal work and boat chores. So come prepared to entertain yourself by engaging in the local surroundings and/or enjoying a nice book on board, etc. We will be moving the boat when we are heading to the next destination, so depending on the weather and/or itinerary, that may or may not happen during your visit. But, life on a boat at the dock is half the fun!

Sea Fever is a 44’ aft cabin motor yacht, with lots of windows (so you are not “down under”). She has a very functional floor plan and comfortable accommodations, with two staterooms and heads. But, as on any boat, space is a premium. Over the years, we and our guests have learned what works, to accommodate both people and their belongings.

First, PACK LIGHTLY, in a soft-sided bag that can be emptied and stowed away (not one with wheels and frame). Each person will have their own storage cabinet(s) or closet to put your unpacked clothes in. Most guests find they need fewer clothes than they thought, for this very casual setting. There is a suggested packing list (for a 2-4 day visit) on the next page.

You will also have shelf space to store other belongings, such as books, camera, phone, etc, and space in the head for your toiletries (but please only bring what you truly need for your short stay)

We have beach/pool towels, bath towels, washcloths, shampoo and conditioner, hairdryer and a travel iron.

We hope this information is helpful for your planning and packing. Life aboard a boat is different, but well worth it! We look forward to having you. For those of you who prefer more traditional/spacious accommodations, we can help you find a hotel near the port we happen to be in, at the time of your visit.

Finally, please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions and/or preferences.
