Days 129 and 130 - Feadship
Today’s temperature at Riviera Beach 72*f and sunny.
Gentle readers your patience in waiting for Changing Latitudes to make a move to the northern latitudes will soon be rewarded. John and Priscilla will pick up a rental car on Sunday at the West Palm Beach airport and drive six hours to Key West Airport and then get a taxi to the Stock Island Marina Village. Then we will cruise 50 miles to the Marathon Yacht Club and spend two days before heading up the keys.
On Friday the rain finally stopped and it was a cool, sunny day at the Riviera Beach Trawlerfeat. The boat is wiped down and there is no sign of human habitation onboard. All of our worldly posessions have been stashed away in hiding places behind the pillows in the owners suite.
Today at TrawlerFest we had an onslaught of trawler seekers, wanna be owners and a few bonafide suspects that are ready to buy. We sorted through them as best we could trying to get them to define their ideal boat. Since the boat we brought to TrawlerFest has already been sold, we need to find more boats to sell. There are many Looper dreamers here too. Some are five years away from starting the Loop and one couple wants to buy a boat and start the Loop in one month. That is aggressive. There is a trawler similar to Star Fisher that just came on the market in Milwaukee. It is a President 42′ vs a 47′ and she has stabilizers.
A highlight of our day was a visit from Dan and Iris Carlson from Lake Bluff. Dan and Iris own a condo in Stuart, Florida which is an hour drive away. They enjoyed sundowners with us on Star Fisher and we had dinner at a restaurant recommended to us by Dave (Mac) McKenna called Guanabanas in Jupiter, Florida. It is a taste of tropical paradise on the ICW.
A highly recommended restaurant.

Starfish are marine invertebrates. They typically have a central disc and five arms, though some species have a larger number of arms. The aboral or upper surface may be smooth, granular or spiny, and is covered with overlapping plates. Many species are brightly coloured in various shades of red or orange, while others are blue, grey or brown. Starfish have tube feet operated by a hydraulic system and a mouth at the centre of the oral or lower surface. They are opportunistic feeders and are mostly predators on benthic invertebrates. Most can regenerate damaged parts or lost arms and they can shed arms as a means of defence.
Saturday was another day with an onslaught of rich people demanding to buy boats immediately. Our first world problem is we do not have enough $500,000 boats to satisfy the demand.
We (Weber Yachts) hosted another very successful sundowner party with two very motivated boat buying couples. We will not deny them the yacht of their dreams. Chris Weber also invited his friends Roy and Stefanie Hodges to join us. Until very recently, Roy was the captain on a 170 Feadship mega yacht and Stefanie was the pursuer and food service manager. You can buy a 1997 Feadship for $30 million. Roy has a home in Eluethra in the Bahamas and gave me lots of navigation and anchorage tips.
This is a 180′ Feadship

Carl ( Chef ) Wooden – quote for the day
“We ourselves feel that what we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But the ocean would be less because of that missing drop.” – Mother Teresa
