Dale and Andy got off the boat at 5:30 am to catch a 7:00 am flight from Key West airport to Chicago. Their bunk will not be empty for long. Chris and Kirstyn Weber hopped on their airplane and flew from Fort Meyers to Key West to spend two days on the boat. They are on their way to Sarasotta for a wedding.
Do you remember our friend that we met in Fairhope in Mobile Bay? Randy Farrand planned to sail to El Salvador stating November 10. We thought we might catch up with him in Key West before he entered the Caribbean. Here is an update;
“I’m still in Alabama. Made it as far as Barber Marina in Gulf Shores and started experiencing overheating issues Plan on making my way south around the 15th of January. I am also adding a solar panel, so plenty to keep me busy over the holidays.’
Cheers,
Randy
Key West goes all out with Christmas decorations.
A few more Christmas lights.

Carl ( Chef ) Wooden – quote for the day;
Captain Ron: [telling how he lost his eye] Yeah, it happened when I went down off the coast of Australia.
Katherine Harvey: Your boat sank?
Captain Ron: No, no, no, no. Not my boat. My boss’s boat. Yeah, we hit this reef. Huge son-of-a-bitch. Ran the whole coast.
Katherine Harvey: Wait. The Great Barrier Reef?
Captain Ron: You’ve heard of it, huh? Smart lady.
