day 59 - what, another surprise?

Miles cruised 0, fuel purchased $0, slip fee TBD, daily high temperature 82*F

We were able to take a long walk in the morning, but the weather  deteriorated rapidly in the afternoon. It included heavy rain, high winds and tornado warnings between Port St. Joe and Apalachicola.

Our daily surprise was that the transmission supplier sent the wrong transmission cooler. What a shock. This necessitates another overnight shipment with hopes of arrival Friday morning with installation and testing to take place Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. Stay tuned.

We spent the afternoon on board watching it rain and blow and  catching up on “administrative” duties.

We returned to spend the evening with our new friends at the Methodist Church where we had dinner and took part in their weekly Bible Study. Dinner included ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, sweet potatoes and peach cobbler. They are doing a good job enticing us to come back if for no other reason than for great food. This includes an invitation to join them Sunday evening for a full Thanksgiving dinner. I was beginning to wonder how I would get my turkey fix this year.

We spent a quiet evening listening to it rain and watching some college football.
