Day 191 - B to B
Miles cruised 46, fuel purchased $0, slip fee $93, daily high temperature 85°f
Dan and Iris and Dick and Candy met us at Mulligan’s in downtown Stuart for breakfast.
We had a discussion regarding drinking Bloody Mary’s and mimosas in the morning. Does that make you an alcoholic? We determined that since both drinks contain either orange juice or tomato juice it was acceptable because those juices are breakfast drinks. In addition we determined that drinking rum in the morning does not make you an alcoholic, it makes you a pirate.
Then Dick and Candy came over to the Sunset Bay Marina and took a tour of Changing Latitudes before we cast off for Vero Beach.
John and Priscilla had a nice of their new condo as we headed east on the Saint Lucie River on our way to the ICW.
The trip north on the ICW is very straight. Just keep the land on your right and your left and you will not loose your way. Power boats blasted past us the entire way trying to rock us hard enough to break our liquor bottles. They come up fast and close so there is no time to change course to minimize the the rocking motion.
Dan took this aerial photo of CL from the Hutchinson Island bridge.
We managed to arrive at the Vero Beach Municipal Marina just as a downpour hit. We tied up and the rain ended. Everything averages out. We just beat the rain in Stuart.
John on Mitzvah had recommended me as a boat broker to a couple from Canada Michel and Sylvie that are selling their 1979 Formosa 40 trawler named B to B. I met with them and discussed the sales process. Since they are from Canada I pronounced it PROcess.
They have a beautiful boat with many upgrades and new additions. They want to sell their boat in the US and move back to Canada. The AGLCA Looper Rendezvous is in Norfolk, Virginia in a month so they will cruise north with us and I will promote their boat at the rendezvous. There will be a gaggle of motivated Looper wanna be’s at the rendezvous. The price for their amazing boat will be $59,900. Since they are getting out of boating they are leaving all of their cruising gear onboard. If you bought this boat all you would have to do is start the engines and cast off the dock lines. She is ready to go.
On Sunday we will cruise to Cocoa and meet some of Andy’s relatives and then cruise to Daytona on Monday and meet some of Dale’s relatives. On Tuesday John and Priscilla will drive three hours south by rental car back to Stuart to attend the condo inspection.

Carl (Chef) Wooden – quote of the day.
“Silently sit on the beach, close your eyes, now see the flowing blue sky, feel the dance of waves, and hear the whispering love song of the southern breeze.”
