Delivery - Day 4
The journey continues.
It was a relatively flat run of 167 miles today from Sandusky,Ohio to Port Sanilac, Michigan. The trip up the Detroit and St Clair rivers was picturesque and very calm. We did leave the inflatable dingy in Sandusky, Ohio in heated inside storage for the winter. We will pick it up in April. The boat runs very fast on flat water without an extra 600 pound dingy on the swim platform.
Our plan for tomorrow is to go 165 miles to Rogers City, Michigan. If the weather cooperates, which it looks like it will not, we will round the top Michigan on Saturday and start heading south on Lake Michigan.
For those rag boaters that are keeping track of our fuel consumption, we burned another 270 gallons of diesel today. That makes 670 gallons in two days. We cruise at 23 miles per hour and get .6 miles per gallon.
Another good day.
