Day 74 - Star Fisher

Miles cruised O, fuel purchased $0, slip fee $120, daily high temperature 75*FIt poured rain all afternoon and night. This is the first soaking rain we have had in 74 days.The Tarpon Point Marina is part of the Westin Cape Coral Hotel. Several bars and restaurants are just a few steps away. Our favorite spot is Pinchers which has 2-1 happy hour all day. Their motto is "you can't fake fresh." The seafood is amazing.This is a very fancy marina.Kenny and Susan arrived around 6:30 pm. Due to the heavy rain it took them over two hours to drive here from Naples. Hopefully the ride home will be much quicker. Kenny will be driving home to Chicago on Monday. On the way he will stop in Nashville and do an open microphone night at a local bar.This was an auspicious occasion. It is my first official day of the job as a boat broker for Weber Yachts. I have the official Weber Yachts shirts and business cards. Now I just need some boat listings and sales. My second career has begun after 42 years.John, Chris, Kirstyn and Rich  Cape Coral has many mangrove areas. There is a boardwalk that runs though the mangroves next to our marina. I climbed the tower to get a look at the mangoves and the Westin hotel at our marina. The weather has cleared up and it is warm and humid today.Looking across the mangroves to the Westin Cape Coral.Chris and Rich brought a 2003 President 47 trawler to the marina today. This is a brokerage boat that they will be showing. She is in bristol condition and even has a water maker. She is fast trawler and will cruise at 18 mph or sip fuel at 8 mph.
