Day 24 - it's been a lovely cruise.

We ran like a trail horse heading for the barn for the first 33 miles at 31 miles and hour. At 7 miles out we dropped to 7 mph. It is a dead flat calm day. Perfect powerboat conditions. Not even a ripple on the lake for 40 miles. As we approached Waukegan Harbor we heard George from Blush call on his VHF radio and advise that his engine in broken down and he is attempting to sail his boat into his slip. There is no wind, I mean not a breath of air. Not sure how that will work for him. The last time we saw George was in Frankfort. This is the last page of our saga. All the pages of this blog are posted on my website www.captainfatherjohn.com. You can read about other adventures such as our delivery of Changing Latitudes from Lake Ontario to Waukegan last October and some international travel stories such as dining on the still beating heart of a cobra in Hanoi, Vietnam.Thank you gentle readers for your interest in our cruise.
