Day 10 - Another fish, another fish, another fish...
Anyone heard of the singer song writer Tom Rush? He was famous on the East Coast in the sixties. He still tours and does a stand up comic routine that talks about a Canadian fisherman that is counting his fish at the end of the day. He is taking them from one bucket and putting them in a second bucket and saying "another fish, another fish, another fish." So far I have caught three fish. I think. I caught the same fish twice.Today was a magical day. Perfect weather and lots of leisure. We all went blueberry picking this morning with great success. The blueberries were all over the Island. We collected a large bowl full. We will enjoy blueberry pancakes for several days to come.Dale and Andy hiked on the island and John and Priscilla took the two person kayak and went fishing. Latter in the day we lowered the hydraulic swim platform to water level and swam off the boat. It took a few minutes to get used to the 76*f water but it was fine. Part of the time in the water was spent cleaning the diesel exhaust residue off the hull. It is good exercise because as you try to wash the hull with a sponge you push yourself away so you have to constantly swim back to the hull to wash it.Several boats departed and several boats entered the harbor today. Once again the sailboats significantly outnumber the power boats.Today we will depart for the Benjamin Islands. They are less than 20 miles away. This is a photo of our stash of fresh blueberries.
